National Catering Butcher of the Year 2010
For an unprecedented third time, Aubrey Allen were named ‘National Catering Butcher of the Year’ at the Meat Management Industry Awards 2010.
Aubrey Allen Butchers and Deli picked up a number of prizes at the Q Guild’s Smithfield Awards - November 2009
The awards are among the most highly coveted in the meat industry and a true indication of excellence. More than 500 products from Q members throughout the UK were judged by an independent panel of experts.
Aubrey Allen won three Gold, three Silver and four Bronze awards.
Our gold awards were won for our Leamington Royal Sausage, Stuffed Tenderloin of Pork and the Mini 3 Bird Roast with Stuffing.
All of these products are available from our delicatessen.
Great Taste Awards - 2009
In 2009 we were awarded a Gold Medal in the Great Taste Awards for our Moroccan Lamb Tagine with spiced couscous. This competition is regarded as the ‘Oscars’ in the Fine Food World and is the largest independent evaluation of fine food and drink. The National Catering Butcher of Year award seeks to reward excellence and outstanding contributions within the industry.
In late 2006 Aubrey Allen were voted National Catering Butcher of the Year and collected the industry’s most prestigious accolade…for the second time!
National Foodservice Pork Product of the Year Competition 2007
This competition seeks new innovations, great tastes and fantastic eating quality within the industry. Out of the six products entered into the competition, Aubrey Allen received three gold and three silver medals.
Great Taste Awards- 2006
The Great Taste Awards is the most prestigious gourmet food awards ceremony in the UK. Organised by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers, the Awards has achieved a reputation over the last decade as the acknowledged accreditation for all speciality food and drink.
Every year there are nearly 4,000 entries which are subject to rigorous judging by teams of experts including food retailers, buyers, writers, critics and chefs. Over 170 classes are judged regionally and nationally and are blind tasted by over 200 judges to ensure each entry was judged by the same standards.
In 2006 we received many gold awards and several silver awards for our ‘Chef Prepared Ready Meals’.

Aubrey Allen awarded ‘Best Butcher's in the Midlands and East of England’.
Aubrey Allen was commended on the quality and variety of meats on sale, the attractiveness of displays, the helpfulness and knowledge of staff, hygiene, the way the business worked with its suppliers in the food chain, and the contribution it made to the local community.
The ‘Top Shop Awards’ are run by the weekly business magazine, Meat Trades Journal, which is widely regarded as the Bible of the UK meat industry.
